Will I still gain weight if...?

I'm recovering from a recent bout of anorexia. I've been trying to get my weight back up and eating the extra calories, but I don't like the idea of gaining back solely fat. I'd like some muscle instead. If I work out (just muscle building, and no cardio) on top of the extra food will I still keep putting on the weight I need, but more in muscle?
