Do you drink protein drinks after or before workouts, and what type of workout?

it will not hurt you if you drink it after. think about it, you eat protein all day. thats like saying you cant eat nuts after running a mile. It will not make you fat if you drink it after because it will just replace the nutrients you lost. Its best to drink the protein an hour or two before and you will have alot of long term energy. It doesnt matter what kind of workout it is really, nutrients are nutrients. A tip- in order to avoid cramping... eat a banana an hour our two before your workout. the potassium helps get rid of the lactic acid that pools in the muscle which is the cause of cramping.
