What Tree should I plant?

We need shelter trees for our cattle and horses. We planted Leyland Cypress and after three years of growing well large numbers have died due to waterlogging. Glad the drought it over, fingers crossed. Where can I find out what trees will thrive in these boggy conditions? We are in a cool climate zone, inland low lying swamp area. Ideally I would like to grow trees that will help our native wildlife as well.
