New kitten owner- a couple questions / need tips?

I found this lil kitten crying, hungry and scared - in my backyard. I brought him inside, fed him some chicken that I just cooked. That was about 4pm- it's now 1130, and we haven't seen him pee/poop anywhere. Is that normal? I haven't had a cat since I was a kid, so any tips or suggestions would be appreciated. We are also concerned for our leather furniture. How do u keep ur cat from messing up the furniture? He also seems to Crave constant attention. He wants to be cuddled a lot. He's a sweet, and goofy lil kitten... But j/w if some kittens wanna be held a lot or if there's somethn wrong. He's sprawled out on his back on my chest right now- havin kitty dreams. Love this little dude already- so I wanna read all about new kitty ownership. Pls share any tips!
