I'm a Christian whose wondering if it's a sin to work on the Sabbath day? Well is it?

I don't know what to tell you about if its a sin or not but think about this. If you have a family, you and your husband have to work seven days a week just to put food on the table. Do you really think God would want you or your family to go hungry if you could help it? I wouldn't worry about it. My mother always said only something you hate is work, what you love doing is a hobby ;D
